Good School Thingy

Recently, for an English assignment, I have done good work. I didn't do this awesome work the first time, but I did this eventually. Assignment: Write a short, imaginative story about a pet that finds its way home. The Result:

Bob was a cat who lived with a loving family in Ohio. One fine summer morning the family took him to Florida with them. They stayed in a cozy hotel, where Bob was often content to lie upon the bed while the family was out at Seaworld, Six Flags, Disneyworld, and Adrenaland. However, he soon discovered a way to sneak into the kitchen and raid the pantry. It was on one of these trips to the kitchen that the family left. Their heads being filled with tales of wonder & delight from their vacation, they noticed Bob's absence not. Soon, they realised with a start they had left Bob! Meanwhile, having taken notice of his pets' departure, Bob took it upon himself to return to his house and see they were appropriately scolded for roaming. The family returned to their hotel, but learned of Bob's yet preserved absence. These tidings lay heavy on their hearts, and so the return trip home was a sorrowful ordeal often split by the shrill weeping of the younger children. When they arrived they discovered with joyous reception, Bob waiting for them with an extremely pompous expression on his feline facade. He then took great care thereafter to ensure his pets never left his home unsurveilled.
